Proud of Connor

Hello friends!

Last week (I’m late like always) one of my favorite Youtuber Connor Franta made a brave decision and decided to come out as gay to his Franta family and any other of his friends and associates that he is gay. I know this isn’t a big deal to most people, but to me it was a major deal to see someone I’ve watched on the internet for about a year now finally be able to accept and love himself for who he is made me the most happiest person in the world. For those who don’t know me personally let me tell you any little thing that can make someone else happy can make me just as happy as they are. When I first seen the tweet about the video I thought it was a joke or something but when I started seeing more tweets saying how proud people are of Connor or who they can finally ship him and Troye as there OTP (can’t remember who tweeted this but shout out to you girlfriend) I knew I actually had to watch it to see what the big fuss about (even though I already knew thanks twitter for the spoilers).
When I first started watching the video I was really nervous to see if Connor decided to stop making video but once he said the words “I’m gay” I was so overcome with emotions because he was showing us (the viewers) another part of him. As he kept going on in the video I think I started to understand what him and other people who are in the public eye have to go through when they have to make a big announcements like these. All of the feelings, emotions, and thoughts that are running through their head must terrify the crap out of them. So for him to do this after so many years of hiding and fighting it makes me feel like a proud mother one the day of their kids play.
To keep this post from getting lengthy and me repeating myself over and over again I just wanted to let Connor (and you guys) to  know that I am so proud of you and I’m happy you can finally be who you are. You have inspired tons of people, before and after all of this and I wish you all of the best in your life and career.
