Review: L’Oréal Paris Ultimate Straight

The L’Oréal Paris Ultimate Straight collection is a product that is new to L’Oréal family –I may not be right about that-. The four step system is advertised to relax the hair from root to tip for an “extraordinary straight transformation” for up to 48 hours depending on the heated styling tools you use. The four steps include shampoo, pre-conditioner, conditioner and Straight Perfecting Balm.

Being honest when I first looked into the products I was really skeptical about testing them because I didn’t think it would work on my hair type and I would end up being disappointed which would result in my writing a post saying how the post didn’t work and all of that sad stuff. After much debating I decided to give it a try and it turns out I actually liked the way my hair actually did turn out straighter than it usually would have if I just shampoo and condition it regularly. Did it turn out as straight as it would when I have a relaxer but in? No but these products are something I believe would come in handy when you are in between the perm appointments and want to keep your hair looking nice.
The only downside to having this collection is having to spend a little extra time in time in the shower while waiting for the pre-conditioner and conditioner to do its magic.
Overall, I would give this product a solid 4/5 stars. The hesitations I had for the collection were kicked out after the first use of them. I also want to give it an extra thumbs up because my hair lasted longer than 48 hours.

Before I end this post I want to say thank you to Influencer for selecting me to sample the product I was really excited to receive my VoxBox.

**I received these products complimentary from Influenster for testing purposes.

  1. I love my curly hair so I don't think I'd reach out for these products but they do seem interesting!

    1. I love mine as well but a change is always good x

  2. This is such a good review T'erica! I love having straight hair as it makes it look longer so this might be something I have to look out for!

  3. My hair is naturally very curly and frizzy, so I always return to my trusty ( yet crappy ) hair straighteners that don't really work. Sigh. This range looks intriguing though, and you reviewed it very well!

  4. My hair is also like edies very very frizzy and wavey and blow drying my hair is a nightmare and makes my hair very frizzy but with straightening it works wonders. So I defiantly might check this out
