Why I Started Blogging

Everyone has a story. Why they choose a field of study? Why acting as a career? Why are you going Vegan? The amount of stories and experiences that can be told through a simple question are endless. One question could lead to a story that wants you to ask more questions until you know more about the person you’re talking to. A question I get all the time is why did I start Blogging? I know I have told my story of how I got into blogging in a few different post already since I starts TTEOT  but today I wanted to go into a little more detail about what led me to blogging and how I expanded it to something I really care about.

As may already know from past post, I started TTEOT as a yearbook assignment in high school to practice writing, caption writing and photography skill that will help us creating content that for the yearbook that is interesting to the students. Previously to this blog, I had another one called The Rush –I know I deleted it but I’m not sure if you can still see the post- it was basically a blog where I did interviews with people on topics I found interesting at the time. The Rush was so impersonal and just a way for me to practice my interview and article writing skills in hopes of becoming the next Perez Hilton or something like that-only joking not quite sure why I started that blog. Back to this blog after doing the assignment –the only post I left up from the assignment was a trip to the One Direction pop up store- I left the blog alone for quite some time because I just thought of it as an assignment.

After, graduating high school I moved to California to go to school for Fashion Design and pursue a career in acting. To be honest with you as much as I loved living in California, being with family and making friends who I cherish forever (Yes Liz, Alex, Kevin Domo, Malisa, Loren I’m talking about you) I was not happy at all and I was struggling to be happy and figuring out what I wanted to do with my life after quickly learned Fashion Design was not my calling –but that’s another story-. I turned to blogging as a way to try and escape the reality of what was going on in my life and express myself in a way where I could be in full control and not worry about all of things I was facing at the time.

I actually got the idea of blogging from Zoe Sugg I would always watch her videos and read her blog and thought to myself “If she can do it why can’t I” which basically brings me where I am today I guess. Blogging has become a part of me and my routine. Every day, I try to think up of post you may find interesting or things I want to share so I can pass on the things I have learned in life so far. Even when I haven’t posted in weeks it’s mainly because I want to give the best content I can and enjoy it as much as a reader would.

This blog has become my happy place in a way I am able to control what is seen and I can express myself freely- which is something I do anyways- but it also gave me the opportunity to connect with an group of amazing friends (the girls in the Secret Blogger Project) who are always there to put a smile on my face when I’m sad and bounce ideas off of, deciding what to buy when we’re in shops and learning about the different background they come from.

I hope you enjoyed this ramble of mine and gave you a little more insight into how I got into blogging and who I am as a person. If you are a reader and want to start a blog I say go for it you never know what you will accomplish without trying.
Xx
