Keeva Organic Essential Oil Acne Face Wash Review

Why hello there! It has been a while since I have done a proper post. Sorry about that I’m trying to get back into the swing of things blogging wise.

A few weeks ago the company Keeva Organics kindly reached out to me asking to test their product and write a post about it. The product I chose was the 5-in-1 Essential Oil face wash, which was very exciting for me. Whenever I use a new face wash I tend to be nervous because I'm scared of how it would react to my face. Surprisingly I was excited to test out this face wash and I wanted to share with you how it went.

NYC Photo Diary

It has officially been two months since I have been living in New York and I’m already in love with this big city. Since being here I’ve went on many adventures and made friendships that will last for ages. Here’s a quick look at my time in the city so far!

Insecurities and Changes

What if I told you I’m not as confident as I once was –or thought I was-? What if  I told  you I hate having to go into work because I don’t like the way my clothes fit or the fact I am constantly reminded  that I can’t fit any clothes in the store? What if I told you I try to exercise but I give up after a week or two because I don’t see progress fast enough? What if I told you I hate going swimming –even though it’s my favorite summer activity- because I feel like I’m being judged for wearing a two piece swimsuit? What if I told you I’ve been hiding out in my room because I spend so much time worrying what others are thinking when they see me? What if I told you I preach confidence and self- love but recently I’ve seem to misplace mine?

Review: Urban Decay Naked Skin Foundation

Why hello, what a nice way to start July off with a high end foundation review. I was introduced to the UD foundation by my friend Narda back in October of last year – I believe-. She was telling me all these amazing things about it and even had me touch her face after she applied it once- true story-. At first, I was hesitant to buy it because of the price and I sat in Sephora and wondered if it was really worth buying especially if I didn’t like it or didn't use it as often as I thought I would. Obviously, I ended up buying it and I finally decided to write a full review after months of using it constantly.

Destination Chic: May Ipsy Review

This month I signed up for the Ipsy Glam Bag to see what all the rage is over glam boxes. When I received the shiny purple package I got excited to see what was inside. After I finally stopped staring at the packaging I took the glam bag out and was greeted with a lovely blue bag that has different well known sights from countries all over the world on it as well as a cute post card. The products I received where a hair oil treatment, waterproof eyeliner, bronzer blush duo, lip-gloss and a smudge brush. I was so excited to try all of them I decided to write a review on all the products I received.

May 2016 Favorites

May has been a crazy one crazy month with moving into a new apartment, a cancelled weekend getaway due to work, missing a major family event and just all around craziness I hardly had time to enjoy a lot of things since I have been so busy. Even with all the craziness I managed to pull a few things I have been loving this month to share with you.

Easy Vegan Pad Thai

On a random day of scrolling through the internet looking for a quick meal to whip up for dinner, I stumbled across a recipe from PETA for “Easy Vegan Pad Thai” and thought to give it a try. It actually turned out pretty good and I ended up making it a second time for my mom, so I decided to share it with you.

I never thought I would ever show a picture of my messy room but whatever it inspired the post so let me get over the embarrassment now. As you can tell by the way my room looks, my life has been pretty hectic, with trying to pack as well as downsize all of my things for my big move in August, my life and mind is a bit chaotic right now. While, I’ve been trying to sort out my room –and my life- it made me realize when you have a messy home –in my case room- you end up having a cluttered mind. Since my room has taken on the form of the after math of a natural disaster my brain has been so scattered I can barely think straight. Thus leading me to feel on the verge of losing my mind because I can’t find anything or the fact I keep tripping over the boxes beside my bed.
Once I finally got my room sorted, packed and organized –and moved yay- I found that my stress level has went from a 100 to about a 3. Which means I have been able to sit back, relax and not basically kill myself by falling over all the boxes in my room…. Until August anyways.

Lipsticks, Liners & Glosses… Oh My!

As a self- proclaimed beauty lover I tend to find myself splurging on makeup more than I should at the most random times when I get a paycheck. This paycheck was one of those times, instead of buying a $40 foundation… which I will do again because that foundation is perfection. I ended up have a major splurge on lipsticks, lip glosses and of course lip liner. When it comes to doing my makeup I will admit I’m absolutely rubbish at applying eyeshadow. When I do attempt to apply eyeshadow- which is usually one color on my entire lid- I focus more on my lips to bring my look together. During my splurge this month, I bought a few drugstore lipsticks and I also stepped out of my comfort zone and actually ordered a few lipstick online for a shop called Colourpop which I believe Katie recommended that I check out on a random day.

Floral Sweater & Ripped Jeans

Recently, on one of my rare days off from work I decided to spend some time with one of my best friends Dezzare and take a trip up to Dallas- I didn’t think of taking outfit photos until a week or so late whoops-. The day was very lovely being that I was with a friend of course, weather wise it was sunny with a bit of a chill because Texas can’t decide what season it wants to be in –anyone from Texas will understand-.

Fun for Less

I think it’s safe to say we’ve all been in this situation before, you want to go hang out with your friends but you’re low on cash, which leaves you and your friends sitting at home with nothing to do. As many times as this has happened to myself and my friends before we had jobs we came up with a few things to do when we’re low on cash and we just want to have a good time with each other from staying inside, go outside or exploring your city a little more there are endless possibilities you and your friends can do without breaking the bank. This post is sort of the second installment of a post I did awhile back where I shared a few tips to save money which you can read here.

Everyday Makeup

There are days where I actually wake up on time and have enough time to put on makeup and I take advantage of it, only to regret it later when I’m sweating like crazy in the kitchen and wiping mascara from under my eyes every two seconds. Most days I tend to go makeup free because well I’m not going to lie I’m a bit lazy and I just want to get to work as early as I can so I can start my day right away. I don’t believe I have done an everyday makeup post, but if I have sorry for the repetition.  Typically my day starts at 4am and ends around 9pm –crazy I know- so when I do my makeup I tend to go for a natural and subtle look with a bit of contour because I’m currently obsessed with the look it gives-I know I’m late to jump on the contour train- or I just use the bronzer to give me a slight glow. To achieve my daily look the products I use are as followed:

Cheers to a New Year

Happy New Year! I hope your New Year has started off peacefully, stress free New Year before going back to school and work. Also, I hope you had a chance to spend as much time with your love ones as you were able to and shower them with all of your love to remind them you will always be there for them. Personally, I was able to spend New Year’s with the residents at my job and my family on the same day which made me feel so happy and grateful to see everyone doing good and well.
Every year, before the clock strikes midnight a lot of people –including myself in the past- made New Year’s resolutions which many started off strong when January first came around but come January 31 they given up and went back to the old habits they were trying to rid at the start of the year. This year I decided to break the habit of start resolutions and not finishing them, first thing I did was stop calling the things I wanted to accomplish resolutions and decided to call them goals because that’s what they are goals. About the week before the New Year started I sat down with my notebook and I wrote down all of the things I would like to achieve.
