Cheers to a New Year

Happy New Year! I hope your New Year has started off peacefully, stress free New Year before going back to school and work. Also, I hope you had a chance to spend as much time with your love ones as you were able to and shower them with all of your love to remind them you will always be there for them. Personally, I was able to spend New Year’s with the residents at my job and my family on the same day which made me feel so happy and grateful to see everyone doing good and well.
Every year, before the clock strikes midnight a lot of people –including myself in the past- made New Year’s resolutions which many started off strong when January first came around but come January 31 they given up and went back to the old habits they were trying to rid at the start of the year. This year I decided to break the habit of start resolutions and not finishing them, first thing I did was stop calling the things I wanted to accomplish resolutions and decided to call them goals because that’s what they are goals. About the week before the New Year started I sat down with my notebook and I wrote down all of the things I would like to achieve.

As you can see, I broke it down into three categories Blog & YouTube, Fitness & Health and Life. Once I figured what aspects of my life I wanted to improve I wrote down the things that came into my mind where I know I wanted to do better. For Example, if you look at the Fitness and Health section you would see I have shave more often. Not saying that I don’t do it because I do, but a lot of the time it feels like a chore to me so I put it off – I mean come one what girl likes shaving especially during the winter- until I have to go somewhere and I wanted to wear a dress. These goals are somewhat random but I feel like that’s the beauty of goals be as random as you want but as long as you make improvements you will feel better.

So far, I would like to say I have done decent with the goals I have set, I was actually able to check off my top two under my Blog and YouTube section which I’m really excited about. The rest are things that will take time and habits I’m going to have to build. Honestly, I’m excited to see how this year will turn out for me. I’m not just talking in personally life or the things I don’t share or show on my blog or in vlogs. I’m also talking YouTube and Blog wise. I will admit I focus more on my blog than I do my vlogs but I’m honestly hoping to change that this year and find a balance between the two.

With all of that being said I would like to touch on the subject of both my blog and my YouTube channels. Starting with my blog I hope you are enjoying the new name and layout because I am absolutely in love with them. I plan on posting twice a week this year, which will be on Tuesdays and Thursday maybe with a few Monday post that's still up in the air. I would like to expand my postings a little I want to do more fashion post as well as beauty post. I would also like to do a few cooking post and a few giveaways throughout the year. Lastly I would like to gain 100 readers this year. I’m not really one for the numbers and about how many readers I have but I would really like to have a little community – group, family whatever you want to call it- of people who enjoy my content and I can get suggestions from when it comes to the things they want to see.

Now onto YouTube as I said before I tend to neglect my channels for my blog, mainly because I’m a total awkward turtle when it comes to talking to a camera. It’s something I am working on and hope I will get over it soon. For my main channel videos I am still debating on what days I should upload those, at the moment I debating between Monday, Wednesday or Sunday. Let me know which days you would like to see those.  For my vlogging channel I would like to continue with daily vlogs but if I’m not able to do that then I’ll just vlog when I can.
Wow this post was longer than I expected it to be but I hope you enjoyed it either way. Before I end the post I would like to challenge you to set a few goals you would like to accomplish this year and go for it. I hope this year will be better than last year, full of positive vibes, happiness and good health, love and achievements.

Sending you peace, love and happiness!
